Is Andaman Nicobar Islands Open for Tourists

Is Andaman Nicobar Islands open to tourists now — this is one of the most sought questions on the internet as millions  of tourists who had planned their visit to Andaman in 2021 are caught up in uncertainty and doubts due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now that 2021 tourist season has started, tourists are still in dilemma whether they should visit Andaman or not.

Andaman Status: Andaman is not open for tourists yet.

All the places in Andaman including Havelock Island, Neil Island, Diglipur, North Bay, Baratang Island, Hutbay, Long Islan etc are not for tourists yet.

Tourists need to bring a negative RT-PCR test report, not older than 72 hours, to enter Port Blair, failing to which the visitor will have to undergo a seven-day mandatory quarantine. The test report is required while arriving at Port Blair airport. While returning back home, there is no need for the report but it depends on state to state as rules are different in each state.

Presently only some hotels, guesthouse and homestays are open in Port Blair. 

The tourist coming to Port Blair at present will have to undergo 7days quarantine and Govt. ferries to Havelock are operating every Monday. Although all the beaches and water activities  are closed one can enjoy the resorts private beach and explore local places.
